THERE'S A POSITION HERE FOR EVERY BODY.
The San Francisco Fog Rugby Football Club is the first gay and inclusive rugby club on the West Coast. Founded in 2000, the Fog has the vision to be the preeminent rugby club in the world that actively pursues the participation of people of color, gay men, and other groups traditionally under-represented in rugby.
THIS IS THE FOG FAMILY.
Founded in 2000 by Mark Bingham and visionary queer rugby pioneers, we are Northern California's premier all-inclusive rugby club.
We actively pursue the participation of people of color, gay men, and athletes of all genders and backgrounds traditionally under-represented in contact sports. Players of every skill level are welcome — including those who have never touched a rugby ball in their life.
Your Pathway to the Pitch
We welcome athletes of all genders, backgrounds, sizes, and experience levels. Here is how simple it is to get started.
SHOW UP TO PRACTICE
Come out on Tuesday at Raymond Kimbell Playground (Western Addition) or Thursday at Crocker Amazon Park (Excelsior). All you need is athletic gear, cleats, and a mouthguard.

SAFETY-FIRST COACHINGEARN YOUR CREST
Suit up for NorCal D2 league play, travel to international tournaments across the globe, and join a tight-knit family that supports you on and off the field.
LEAGUE & BINGHAM CUPFrom People Who'd Never Played Before
Every year, athletes who gave up on sports—or never thought rugby was for them—find a lifelong brotherhood in the Fog.
“It is more than just a pitch. It's a place where you can be vulnerable without fear of judgment. I gave up on rugby before I was 20 because of homophobia. The Fog gave me my sport back, my confidence, and a brotherhood on and off the field.”
“I had never touched a rugby ball in my life and wasn't in game shape. The coaches broke down every tackle, pass, and rule from day one with zero intimidation. By week four, I was playing in my first friendly with thirty brothers having my back.”
